Web Designer/Programmer

Serve as webmaster, responsible for design, development/ programming, usability analysis, testing deployment, maintenance and administration of seven (7) NWFSC web portals, including www.nwfsc.edu, www.nwfcollegiatehigh.org, www.nfsymphony.org, www.nwfraiders.org, http://lrc.nwfsc.edu, www.mattiekellyartscenter.org, and www.nwfscfoundation.org, plus several smaller websites as well as the administrative websites that allow staff members from other departments to edit content. Design, develop, and manage dynamic web pages including layout, animation, and Internet database development in accordance with NWFSC standards and policies, including maintaining currency of web links and pages in coordination with the Marketing Director for all editorial and creative content. Responsible for creation and optimization of all graphics and page layout needs, including FLASH banners, icons, logos, photos, navigation buttons, animations, etc. Coordinate with the college’s IT department regarding the analysis of traffic to web site(s), recommend necessary changes, and maintain reports on web usage. Build and/or maintain data-aware pages using ASP, ODBC, SQL, or Access databases as appropriate. Design, program, implement, and/or maintain ColdFusion data-driven web applications as needed. Meet with designated college personnel regarding web coordination and collaborative projects as required. Design and/or manage college social networking sites as needed. Coordinate future expansion and improvements to content management system. Stay current with web design trends and technologies and integrate new technologies as necessary on the websites. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum of AA/AS/AAS degree required. - Two years previous web design/database design, web programming or directly related experience required. - Demonstrated experience with web development/scripting/formatting and imaging software required. - Experience with xHTML, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Professional and Photoshop required. - Excellent graphic design skills required. - Demonstrated expertise with Flash, Illustrator, SQL preferred. - Experience with ColdFusion a strong qualifier, but proven experience in another data-driven technology, such as ASP or PHP, strongly preferred. - Experience with Sharepoint a plus. - Background in user training/support desired.
