What does shaking hands and leadership have to do with each other? How do you want a first time meet/greet with a new colleague to go? This and more as Monica Earley shares her training of young professionals in the business arena.Monica Earley is a Protocol Consultant and Trainer. In this position, she works with individual and business clients to tailor programs for their protocol needs. She also assists other business colleagues with their programs and/or events.
Prior to working on her own, she was the Chief of Protocol, Headquarters Air Force Special Operations (AFSOC), Hurlburt Field, Florida, from 2001-2014. She was directly responsible to the AFSOC Commander for providing protocol support of dignitaries and distinguished visitors from Congress, the Department of Defense, private industry, and international allies. Supporting U. S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, Florida, she assisted with numerous join ceremonies and events. She started her civil service career in February 1978 and worked various protocol positions starting in 1990.
Ms. Earley was a key expert in the development and validation of the accredited Air Force Protocol Fundamentals Course, the only program of its kinds in the government today. She also was an instructor and taught quarterly for the course. In addition, she traveled throughout the Air Force teaching Protocol and Business and Dining Etiquette.
