Join us June 16th for our virtual meeting with special guest speaker, Brigitta R. Brunner, Ph. D., who is an Auburn University Professor and Editor of the Journal of Public Interest Communications. Dr. Brunner will speak about some frameworks that influence our approaches to ethics. The differences among ethics, values, and legalities will also be explored as will the reasons why those distinctions matter. Examples from current events and case studies will be used to discuss and reinforce the importance of accountability and responsibility in ethical public relations practice.
In addition to her academic research and instructional career, Dr. Brunner is a published author of four books with the most recent being Cases in Public Relations: Translating Ethics into Action, which was awarded the 2019 PRIDE Book Award by the Public Relations Division of the National Communication Association.
