Dolly Parton: Crisis Communications CEO
Join the NWFL Coast Chapter of FPRA as Dr. Lance Kinney from the University of Alabama helps us navigate crisis communications. In his program titled “Dolly Parton: Crisis Communication CEO” Dr. Kinney compares three different crisis response strategies and demonstrates how Ms. Parton embodied the role of “regional CEO” following the Gatlinburg, TN fires. Dr. Kinney has recently presented these findings to the International Country Music Conference in Nashville.

About: Dr. Lance Kinney is an in-demand speaker on the professional circuit, addressing professional groups on research techniques, data analysis, and sponsorship strategies, along with other integrated marketing communication topics.
Dr. Kinney’s research has appeared in Journal of Sport Marketing, Psychology and Marketing, Journal of Promotion Management, International Journal of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, International Journal of Integrated Marketing Communication, numerous conference proceedings, and a number of book chapters.
He currently teaches, researches, and consults as a tenured associate professor of advertising and public relations at the University of Alabama.
