Florida Public Relations Association Membership Scholarship

FPRA Northwest Florida offers a membership scholarship both for a non-profit organization and a general member. Renewing members and potential members who meet the criteria below are encouraged to apply.

Our members represent major corporations, government agencies, public relations and advertising firms, not-for-profit organizations, and educational institutions. Professional members must spend more than 50 percent of their time in public relations activities and agree to abide by the organization’s code of ethics.

Applications for the membership scholarship are due no later than 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017. Applicants are required to attend at least 80% of FPRA Luncheons and Events if scholarship is granted.

 

Current Scholarships for 2017-2018:

Non-Profit Membership Scholarship

For a qualified professional from a local not-for-profit organization.

To apply for the scholarship, the professional must:

  • Meet state FPRA guidelines for professional membership (visit www.fpra.org for more information)
  • Be employed by a not-for-profit organization
  • Require financial assistance to cover the FPRA membership fee due to a lack of financial support by his/her organization

General Membership Scholarship
For a qualified public relations professional.

To apply for the scholarship, the professional must:

  • Meet state FPRA guidelines for professional membership (visit www.fpra.org for more information)
  • Require financial assistance to cover the FPRA membership fee due to a lack of financial support by his/her organization

Scholarship Details:

The scholarship covers:

  • New member processing fee (if applicable)
  • Membership dues for one year

Any expenses involved in attending luncheons and events are the responsibility of the member. The membership year for this scholarship runs each year from October 1 to October 31.

If you are selected as the recipient, you will need to complete a membership application and your application will need to be approved by the FPRA Northwest Florida Board of Directors in order to receive the scholarship.

If you are already a member, you will need to submit your renewal form.

I further understand that, if selected, I shall receive no monies directly and membership will be paid by the Florida Public Relations Association Northwest Florida Coast Chapter.
