The Northwest Florida Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) announced its upcoming monthly luncheon, featuring Area Manager David Balmer with Dale Carnegie of the Emerald Coast. The upcoming event is sponsored by A Superior Air Conditioner and will be held at Sunset Bay Café, in Miramar Beach on Tuesday, September 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During the upcoming luncheon, Balmer will speak about values leadership and discuss why the phrase “Culture trumps strategy” has never been more important in organizations as changes in the workforce are taking place. He suggests that leaders at all levels need to focus on the importance of values balancing with the organizations and co-workers.
David Balmer is the area manager for Emerald Coast Dale Carnegie Training, the Dale Carnegie franchise for NW Florida, South Alabama, SW Georgia and SE Mississippi. He manages the eastern portion of the franchise as the personal sales producer and training facilitator. David has been a certified trainer for Dale Carnegie Training® for over 26 years. He is certified in several programs including the Dale Carnegie Course, Leadership Training for Managers, the Sales Advantage, and related workshops.
Prior to joining Dale Carnegie, David worked in the radio and television industry holding several senior sales positions and managing sales teams. He has worked for such companies as CBS Radio, Meredith Broadcasting, the EW Scripps Co., Sinclair and Gray Television. He began working with Dale Carnegie as an avocational instructor in Tampa, FL where he received recognition as Instructor of the Year in 1990, 1994 and 2002. He has worked with many major organizations in Florida including the US Navy, Publix, Jabil Circuits, Rooms to Go, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
The Northwest Florida Coast Chapter invites all interested marketing and public relations professionals to this event. The cost for members and students is $15 and $25 for non-members. Lunch provided by Sunset Bay Café will include a spectacular buffet featuring: Bay café salad, grilled chicken breasts, shrimp n’ grits, haricot verts and assorted cookies.
